Housing is expensive. San Francisco and Berkeley are among the most expensive areas to live in, in the Bay Area, and probably all over the US. To get time to find a good housing solution I decided to come a few weeks early and booked a room via Berkeley Residence Hall. RH is a set of dorms around campus, and I ended up with a single room in Stern Hall.
The room I stayed in isn't actually in the picture, I went with the scenic view for your pleasure (it did, by definition, not include my room). After just a day and a half I lucked out though, and am now sharing a Victorian house with 3 cool Americans close to the intersection Delaware / MLK.
Luckily, this area is a Drug Free Zone.
