Submitted

For those of you who don't know my schedule, I had a deadline Friday. The first paper of this fall, which has been the main focus of the majority of my waking hours the last couple of weeks, is finally submitted and done with. For now at least. Submitting to a high visibility, low acceptance rate conference is never a sure thing, and we may well end up resubmitting it somewhere else in November. But for now, it's done with. And turned out quite nice, especially considering the change in focus and logistic difficulties encountered from me being over here. Really took a toll on the system though. Just woke up from a 13 hour nap, slept through two full hours or a car alarm going off down the street this morning. Today I'm spending a lazy Sunday just watching football (NFL, not soccer), and recovering from the colossal over-consumption of meat that occurred at last night's southern bbq dinner. Nice to have friends watching out for my social schedule while I'm digging into my professional nerdiness. Thanks Joe and Richard!
